Baths, shower trays, sinks and urinals can be moulded from composites, offering advantages such as light weight in installation, relative warmth to the touch compared to cast iron or ceramics, and the opportunity for a wide range of finishes from solid colours to marble effects.

The use of polyester resins has led to the development of the room module, where entire bathrooms can be fitted out in the factory, transported to site, and craned into position with the consequent savings in time and labour costs.
