Cold glues for bottle labelling are very high viscosity, honeylike waterbased materials. They are traditionally based on casein as main component (binder).
Suitable for both glass and plastic bottles, they must exhibit good machining (automatic labelling machines).
Casein is well known to face availability problems and big price fluctuations. With its wet Labeling range, Cray Valley offers today an efficient solution to customers who wants to partially or totally replace casein in their wet labelling formulations.

These Craymul are molecular weight controlled acrylic based alkali soluble emulsions. The coupling of their thickening power with their good resistance to extreme temperatures and their good washability (for bottle recycling), make these products an excellent alternative to casein (casein that often faces availability and price issues).
