Object: REACH compliance certification

Dear Sir/Madam,

With regard to the REACH regulation 1907/2006/EC, the following certification is applicable for any substance or preparation based on substance(s) and polymer(s) which are manufactured or imported by CRAY VALLEY-SARTOMER European Division in the European Union, at more than 1t/y by any of its Legal Entities.

For the substances manufactured /imported by CRAY VALLEY –SARTOMER Europe Division, we confirm that the (constituent) substance(s) having a “phase-in” status has(have) been pre-registered by CRAY VALLEY –SARTOMER Europe Division .

At the present time, substances which meet the polymer definition as described in the REACH regulation 1907/2006EC are temporarily exempted from registration.

However, as specified in Article 6.3 of the REACH regulation, we have pre-registered the constituent monomers and other reactants in the polymer(s) contained in our product ranges preparation and which are present at 2% weight by weight or more in the polymer(s) and where the total quantity of each monomer or other reactant makes up 1 tonne or more per year.

For the Substances/preparations purchased by CRAY VALLEY-SARTOMER European Division , and with respect to the REACH regulation 1907/2006EC, our company is in the position of a Downstream User.  
CRAY VALLEY-SARTOMER European Division has already received written confirmation from our raw material suppliers that the pre-registration of the constituent substance(s) has(have) been or will be completed by the end of the pre-registration period, or that their substance(s) is(are) exempt from registration.  Where necessary, CRAY VALLEY-SARTOMER European Division will now re-contact suppliers who have not yet provided us with an official statement confirming the pre-registration of their respective substance(s).
